Rural independent grocery stores are closing at a rate that will leave a generation of towns without a place to buy food. Rural Transition Academy trains the people who can change that: the specialists who walk alongside grocers, and the grocers themselves.
The approach
Resilience is built in the everyday decisions: pricing, product assortment, and where the labor goes. A store that offers what no one else can becomes irreplaceable.
A successful transition is not a document written at the end. We bake the recipe for one into the daily mindset of operating a strong store.
